Poses with movement, written in body language

Lesson 7 of 8 in Prompts for a model shoot.

Checked against the makers' documentation on 28 September 2026.

Lesson

This prompt asks for one specific pose, written the way a photographer directs a model on set: where the weight is, what each hand does, where the head turns and where the eyes go. It is for the frames that stop a set looking like a row of mannequins, such as a walk, a turn or a hand at the collar.

A doodle of a stiff crossed-out mannequin beside a walking woman in a tunic, with circles and arrows marking her front foot, lifting heel, hand at the hem, swinging arm, turning head and line of sight.
A stiff mannequin beside a model mid-stride, with her weight, hands, head and gaze each marked. A pose is written as what each part of the body is doing.
