For words, our first choice is Claude. Its free plan already holds up to five projects and runs skills, and the brief writer and the Claude skills on this shelf are built for it. Pro is US$20 a month, or US$17 a month billed yearly as US$200 up front. Anthropic's page shows US dollars only, even from India, and says the prices leave out tax. The alternative is ChatGPT, which OpenAI prices in rupees, with Go at ₹399 a month and Plus at ₹1,999. Switch when whoever pays needs rupees and UPI. OpenAI's billing help says UPI works for Go and Plus, and Claude's pricing page lists credit card.
