Tethering, selects and the client on set

Lesson 8 of 11 in Shoot direction.

Lesson

Tethering transformed commercial photography by letting everybody see the frame immediately, and it introduced a new problem: everybody sees the frame immediately, including the frames that were never meant to be seen.

An ink drawing of a technician's laptop full of messy test frames while a calm client on a sofa watches one chosen frame on a large monitor.
The client monitor shows only chosen frames while tests stay on the laptop.
