Colour on a body

Lesson 4 of 11 in Styling.

Lesson

Colour on a body behaves differently from colour on a page because it bounces. A saturated shirt throws its colour onto the underside of a chin, and no amount of grading removes it cleanly afterwards.

An ink drawing of a model in a vivid green shirt with a green tint under her chin, while a stylist holds up a pale shirt as an alternative.
A bright green shirt throwing its colour up onto the model's chin.
