Lesson

A series is a set of short films that share a format and change one thing each time. The format stays fixed. It covers the opening line and the set, the length, and the way each episode ends. The variable is the one thing that changes, a new object, a new person or a new question. Viewers learn the format once and then recognise each later episode within a second, and a catchphrase helps them do it. That recognition is what a small brand otherwise has to buy with repeated advertising.

  1. Question 1, locked

What is a series, as the lesson defines it?

    • Any group of reels posted in the same week
    • One long film cut into short parts
    • A set of short films that share a format and change one thing each time
    • Reels that all use the same trending sound
  2. Question 2, locked

Why does changing only one thing per episode help you learn?

    • If one episode does far better than the rest, you know which change did it
    • It keeps the platform from flagging repeated content
    • It means the episodes can be posted in any order
    • It lets you skip the end card
  3. Question 3, locked
