Habit, and the buying that never reaches a decision

Lesson 8 of 12 in Brand psychology.

Lesson

A large share of buying is habitual, which means no decision happens at all. The person reaches for the same thing, in the same aisle, without consulting any of the reasoning a brand's advertising addressed.

An ink drawing of a person in a new kitchen full of moving boxes, holding two different coffee jars at a bare shelf and deciding between them.
Moving house breaks the habit, so the shopper has to choose again.
