Lockups and configurations

Lesson 7 of 18 in Identity systems.

[eng] What is a logo lockup and how can different variations help you? (re upload 2019) · Akash Singh Design
Lesson

A brand rarely needs one logo. It needs three or four fixed arrangements covering the proportions of the spaces it will actually occupy: something wide, something square, something tiny, and sometimes a version carrying a descriptor or a sub-brand.

xclear space = the height of the markderived from the mark, so it scales
A mark with an exclusion zone measured from the mark itself.
A doodle with four tidy cards showing wide, stacked, tiny and extended versions of a circle-and-bar logo at the top, and a corkboard of eleven slightly mismatched hand-made copies below.
Four fixed arrangements of a mark, each supplied as a file, above eleven copies rebuilt by eye where the gaps and sizes have quietly drifted apart.
