Canva renames its AI often, so start with the names as they stood in October 2026. The help pages still call the family Magic Studio. Generating a whole design now happens in Canva AI, on the homepage and in the editor, and the old help page for Magic Design describes Canva AI instead. On 16 April 2026, at its Canva Create event, Canva announced Canva AI 2.0 as a research preview, built on the Canva Design Model, its own foundation model for design. Canva says it produces layered, editable designs from a conversation and remembers how you like to work. Its pricing page lists Canva AI 2.0 as new on Pro and Business while still marking conversational design as coming soon in the comparison table, so check what your own account shows.
