Motion in brand systems

Lesson 6 of 10 in Motion and time.

Motion Identity - What is it? · Everything Design
Lesson

Motion is a brand asset in the same way colour and type are, and it is the one most often left undefined. A company with a rigorous identity will frequently have four different transition speeds on one website because nobody wrote anything down.

even spacing · no weighteased · the object has masssame duration, same distance
The same distance covered with even spacing and with eased spacing.
A web page sketch with four parts moving at mismatched speeds beside a snail, hare, car and rocket, next to the same page where one small card of curves and timers sets every part's motion.
On the left, four parts of one page move at four different speeds. On the right, a small shared set of speeds and curves makes the whole site move as one.
