Lesson

Procreate is an iPad drawing app, made by Savage Interactive and used with an Apple Pencil, and it is where ConvertKit's illustrator drew the brushwork for that company's illustration system. As of October 2026, Apple's Indian App Store sells it for ₹999 as a one-off purchase, with no in-app purchases and no subscription. It runs only on iPad and needs iPadOS 16.3 or later. Procreate Pocket, its iPhone version, costs ₹599 on the same store.

  1. Question 1, locked

You start a Procreate canvas in Display P3 and later need it in CMYK for print. What does the lesson say?

    • Change it in Canvas information at any time
    • Export a PSD and it converts automatically
    • Raise the DPI to 300 and it switches
    • You cannot move a canvas between RGB and CMYK, so choose at the start
  2. Question 2, locked

A mascot drawn in Procreate has to scale cleanly to a hoarding. What should happen to it?

    • Trace or redraw it in Illustrator, because Procreate supports no vector formats
    • Export it as an SVG from Procreate's Share menu
    • Raise the canvas DPI to 600 before exporting
    • Export it as a PDF at Best, which keeps it as vector
  3. Question 3, locked

What does changing a Procreate canvas's DPI do to its pixels?

    • Doubles them when you go from 150 to 300
    • Nothing, it only changes the printed size
    • Halves the number of layers available
    • Converts the canvas to CMYK
