Art directing a model that cannot be argued with

Lesson 7 of 10 in AI art direction.

Lesson

Directing a photographer is a conversation. They push back, they know things you do not, and they tell you when what you asked for will not work. A model does none of that. It agrees instantly and produces something plausible, which means every misunderstanding survives until you look.

Along a table, left to right: a sheet of handwritten notes, a photograph on a stand and a wooden artist's mannequin, each bigger than the last. At the end of the table, the art director has set them aside and reaches for a real camera.
Words, then a reference, then a pose. When all three fail, stop and shoot it.
