One 16:9 master at 1920 by 1080 can become every other shape in three ways. Each costs something different. A centre crop to 9:16 keeps a strip 607 pixels wide out of 1,920, less than a third of the frame, and scales it up to 1080 by 1920. Padding keeps the whole frame, shrinks it to 1080 by 608 and fills the rest with bars, and a blurred fill does the same over an enlarged, blurred copy of the picture. A square crop keeps 1,080 of the 1,920 pixels of width, and a 4:5 crop keeps 864.

One 16:9 master at 1920 by 1080 becomes a 9:16 vertical at 1080 by 1920, a square at 1080 by 1080 and a 4:5 feed at 1080 by 1350; keep type and faces inside each platform's safe zone.
An ink drawing of a landscape print on a cutting mat with three card window mounts of different proportions laid over it and a craft knife beside them.
One picture, cut three ways.
