Naming, filing and finding it again

Lesson 6 of 10 in AI creative workflows.

Records Management 101: Document naming conventions · The University of British Columbia
Lesson

Generation produces files faster than any previous process, and most studios' filing was already failing before that. Four hundred images a week into folders named by whoever made them is a library that cannot be searched and will be regenerated from scratch next time.

A wall of identical archive boxes with coloured tabs in a strict repeating order. A person on a rolling ladder pulls out one box and lifts a print of an amber bottle on stone. In a corner, a heap of loose, unnamed prints lies ignored.
The same pattern on every box finds one print in seconds. The loose heap will never be found.
