Generative work in print

Lesson 8 of 10 in Generative design.

4 Million Unique Absolut Bottles · Absolut
Lesson

Digital printing made every copy able to differ, and generative design is the natural partner to it. A thousand business cards with a thousand marks, a print run where every cover is unique, packaging that varies across a shelf.

Printed covers fan out of a press into a tray, each with a different arrangement of shapes. A printer in an apron holds up the two strangest ones, one overcrowded and one nearly empty, to the light.
Every cover is different. Judge the strangest two, because those will ship too.
