Hands, eyes and the four things to check first

Lesson 6 of 10 in AI photography.

here are 6 ways to spot AI-generated images (how to spot AI) · Catharina Doria
Lesson

Four checks, in this order, catch most of what goes wrong with people. The hand where it touches something. The eyes, and whether the catchlights agree. The colour cast on the skin. And whether the eye line is where you asked for it.

A close-up of a hand around a teacup whose fingertips don't quite touch it, leaving a tiny gap. Above, a pair of eyes looks down at the cup; one eye reflects a square window and the other a round light.
Two quick checks: does the hand really touch the cup, and do both eyes see the same light?
