The packaging fidelity problem

Lesson 6 of 10 in AI and brand consistency.

Lesson

Packaging is where generated imagery fails most visibly and most expensively. The pack carries small type, a specific structure, regulated copy and a shape customers know, and a model will approximate all four while producing something that looks finished.

generated plate+real product=one photographthe contact shadowis what stops itfloatingmatch perspective, scale, temperature, then grade both together
A generated plate, a photographed product and a contact shadow combining into one image.
On a cutting mat, a flat unfolded carton lies beside the box it makes, which is crisp and exact. Next to them is a third box that nearly matches but has soft proportions, a misaligned pattern band and one rounded corner.
The flat net and its box agree. The third box is almost right, which on a shelf means wrong.
