A quality gate that runs automatically

Lesson 8 of 10 in AI and brand consistency.

Lesson

Anything stated precisely can be checked by a machine, and the checks worth automating are the boring ones people stop doing at four in the afternoon. Is the product colour within tolerance. Is there text where there should be none. Is the logo present, unrotated, at the right clearance. Are there six fingers.

At night in an empty studio, prints travel on a belt through a small wooden gate with a colour sampler and a magnifier. Most pass through, but one showing a six-fingered hand drops through a trapdoor into a basket.
Nobody is awake, and the gate still catches the six-fingered hand.
