From a Figma file to working code

Lesson 4 of 11 in AI for interface design.

Figma + developer workflows | design systems, Code Connect, MCP, and Make · Figma
Lesson

A coding agent that can read the design file writes very different code from one working off a screenshot. It uses the component names, the token values and the layout rules, so what comes back is a candidate implementation rather than a lookalike.

A cabinet maker at a bench carves a new round knob by hand, although a tray of identical ready-made knobs sits right beside them. An open drawer below holds eight other homemade knobs, each slightly different.
The matching knobs were right there. Without a map to them, you get a ninth homemade one.
