Camera-first prompting

Lesson 2 of 10 in AI photography.

Where Do You Put the Camera? · Every Frame a Painting
Lesson

Most prompts describe a thing and hope a photograph appears around it. Reverse the order. Start with the camera: where it is, how high, how far, what lens, what it is doing. Then say what it is pointed at.

A woman stands in an empty room with three cameras aimed at her: one on the floor looking up, one at her eye level, and one on a tall stand looking down. Dotted lines run from each camera to her face.
Low, level, high. The same person reads as powerful, equal or small depending on where the camera sits.
